Copper Chimney specializes in North Indian cuisine while also offering unique Indian-Chinese (“Chindian”) fusion dishes. Our menu features time-honored North Indian classics – from fragrant biryanis and creamy curries to fresh tandoori breads (naan, roomali roti) and succulent kebabs. We are known for signature dishes like Butter Chicken, Paneer Makhani (buttery tomato curry with cottage cheese), and our aromatic Lamb Shank Biryani, which are perennial favorites.
In addition, our chefs serve up Indo-Chinese favorites such as Hakka noodles, Szechwan fried rice, and spicy Manchurian gravies – a nod to the Indian Chinese cuisine popular in Mumbai.
Every dish is prepared with authentic spices and techniques, delivering the “best of both worlds” in terms of Indian and Chinese flavors.
Yes – we offer plenty of vegetarian options and can cater to vegan and Jain dietary requirements at both our outlets. Many of our North Indian dishes are naturally vegetarian (such as paneer curries, mixed vegetable dishes, lentil dal, etc.), and we use vegetable oil instead of ghee on request for vegans. If you require Jain food (prepared without root vegetables like onion, garlic, etc.), our chefs are happy to customize certain dishes or prepare made-to-order Jain meals – simply inform us in advance or let our staff know when ordering. In fact, our Mandai location’s menu was designed to be diverse, “catering to all preferences, including vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Jain, and halal options,” which ensures everyone can dine together comfortably.
Absolutely. Copper Chimney takes pride in offering popular Indian street food snacks (chaat), which are especially loved by vegetarian guests. At both outlets, you can enjoy Mumbai-style chaat items like Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, and Sev Puri – crisp semolina puris filled with tangy, spicy, or sweet toppings. We also serve hearty street-food favorites such as Chole Bhature (spiced chickpea curry with fluffy fried bread), Pav Bhaji (buttery vegetable curry with soft bread rolls), and Vada Pav (Mumbai’s famous spiced potato sliders). These items are prepared fresh and pack the authentic flavors of Indian street cuisine. So if you’re craving a quick bite or nostalgic street snack, you’ll find a satisfying selection on our menu.
Yes, we do. At our Mandai outlet, we have a large seating capacity (about 100 guests) and frequently serve Thali set meals, which are platter-style meals providing a bit of everything on one tray. These Thalis are very popular with visitors who want a hearty, all-in-one meal – for example, our special Butter Chicken Thali comes with bread, rice, dal, veggies, dessert, etc., giving a complete experience of North Indian cuisine. We can also arrange buffet spreads on request for tour groups or large parties. Tour operators often choose Copper Chimney Mandai for group lunches because of our spacious layout and ability to serve groups efficiently. If you’re coming with a tour group or an extended family gathering, contact us in advance and we can organize a buffet or set menu to suit your group’s needs.

Definitely. We are well-equipped to handle large groups, corporate events, and tour buses – especially at our Mandai outlet which can seat around 100 people comfortably. We often welcome school trips, tourist groups visiting the nearby wildlife parks, and corporate retreats. Our team can customize group menus, buffets, or banquet-style arrangements as needed. There are plenty of vegetarian, Jain, and halal options to ensure every guest is catered for. The Syed Alwi outlet, while smaller, can also host sizeable groups and we do accept reservations for larger parties there too (it’s a popular spot for birthday dinners and community gatherings in Little India). For any special event or large party booking, we recommend reaching out to us ahead of time – we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements and make the necessary arrangements so that your group dining experience is smooth and memorable.
No – Copper Chimney does not serve alcohol, and we do not allow BYO alcoholic drinks on our premises. As a fully Halal-certified establishment, we maintain a strict no-alcohol policy in accordance with halal guidelines. Instead, we offer a range of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages, from traditional drinks like mango lassi and masala tea to fresh juices and coolers. You can enjoy a great meal with drinks from our menu, but kindly refrain from bringing beer, wine, or liquor, as they cannot be consumed in our restaurants.
Yes, we have ample and scenic outdoor seating at our Mandai Wildlife West (Bird Paradise/Rainforest) outlet. The Mandai restaurant features seating in an open-air environment where you can dine surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature – a truly unique experience after a day at the wildlife parks. (Many guests love taking photos in this area because of the nice backdrop!). Our Syed Alwi Road outlet, on the other hand, is an indoor restaurant with air-conditioned comfort, situated in the bustling city environment. So while Little India diners will be seated indoors, those visiting Mandai can choose to sit outdoors or indoors. Either way, we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable ambience for all our guests.
